The aim of this research is to estimate the level of peroxynitrite and nitric oxide, which are considered as the major reactive nitrogen species derived from cigarette smoke, in serum and saliva of smokers of different kinds of smoking :-cigarette (CS), cigarette with narghile (CS&N) and narghile ( N ) using spectrophotometric method. This research involved a
total number of 37 smokers (n=13 CS, n= 13 CS&N & n=11 N) and 13 Non-smokers serving as control "C" all of them are healthy individuals (without medical disease) with age ranged from (21 - 28 years).The study show that there is no significant difference in both serum and saliva peroxynitrite level in the different groups(p≥ 0.05) compared with the
control and among the different smokers groups .While there is a significance increase in nitric oxide level (p<0.05) in serum and saliva of (CS&N) group compared with control, (CS&N)group compared with(CS) group and N group compared with that of (CS) group.
