A seismic refraction investigation was carried out at Al-Kifel area for delineating water table and determining the velocity of different layers, as well as locating the contamination zones in underground water which are resulted from agricultural activities in study area. Five seismic profiles were carried out in this study using ABEM TERRALOC seismic system. The length of each profile (120) m. With normal and reverse shooting. The recorded field data were interpreted by Generalized Reciprocal method. The velocity of the first layer range from (534-1271) m/sec. and its average is (899.28) m/sec. while the velocities of the second layer ranges from (835- 2107) m/sec. and its average is (1720.9) m/sec. In this study the second layer represents the water table in the study area with of 2.40 m. range from the surface and the surface of the water table about sea level (11.60- 14.60) m. Finally the contour map was drawn for the water table of the ground water in the area .
